The Sessions Screen gives you a very in-depth view of how current (and future) conditions relate to all your individual sessions.

Overall Similarity

Rule #1 of the sessions screen is that if you see a session with a 4+ rating and current conditions are identical then paddle out there!

Stop reading this and paddle out for gosh sake

Since you rated the session highly and the conditions are close to the same that means that odds are good you’ll have another highly rated session!

Similar Conditions

Say you scored great waves at Oceanside Pier a year ago – the sessions screen will make it really easy to see if current conditions are going to match those conditions from a year ago –

Identical sets of conditions will show up in green, similar will show up in yellow and different will show up red. For the Oceanside Pier session above the primary swell is almost exactly the same so it’s in green. The wind and tide are similar but not exactly the same so they are in yellow. Finally the secondary swell is very different so it’s red.

Other Cool Stuff

Sort – You can sort your sessions by a few different things. Try sorting by “Wave similarity” to see the sessions with the most similar swells. Sort by “Rating” to see your highest rated sessions.

Surfboard + Comments + Buoys – Tap any session to see more information about that session. This can include which board you rode, any comments (if you entered them), and more information about which buoys Lazy Surfer retrieved the conditions from.

Depending on the buoy, you might be able to tap the buoy name and go to a web page with the raw data for that buoy (this only works for NOAA buoys).
