I’ve long been a staunch supporter of the bare-it-all, dings-be-damned type of surfboard care regiment.

Dirt stuck in your wax and making your boards look grimy? I like the look of a well used board.

Got clear tape up and down your rails? Sounds like a good opportunity to learn some ding repair skills (something every well rounded surfer should be good at in my opinion, but that’s a whole ‘nother blog post).

I might be changing my ways though – the Ho.Stevie canvas board bag is good-lookin, durable, inexpensive, and so very functional.

Classy

This is the first board bag I’ve owned – I have friends who have them and swear by them but as I alluded to above, I thought they were unnecessary – spend that $100 on a new pair of fins or on 1/4 of a new wetsuit or a pair of new booties.

After owning this bag for a week I can say I’ve been missing out. I don’t mind a dirty looking board but there’s no question that this board bag is 100x better looking than a seaweed and sand covered thruster.

I’m also finding extra time to surf – time I’d otherwise have spent clawing wax off my seats and headrests from throwing my waxed up board around in my car. Somebody wearing nice clothes can finally sit in my backseat!

And the price!!! $35 – $50 depending on the length you need. Pretty… pretty… pretty… good!
